Run by a good friend of ours: Penny Seidl, Crystal Haven is located at 116 East Main Street, in Port Washington, Wisconsin. A Reiki practicioner, Penny offers stones of various types and uses, books and tarot for learning and understanding, and aromatherapy items and herbs for your meditative and ritual needs. Every once in awhile, she'll even have palm and card readers along, as well as Reiki and foot detox sessions. The store itself is a good place to be, often having the feel of a community center: as a lot of people tend to find themselves lingering. That's how good it feels.
And Penny never minds the company.
The secret, it's believed, has much to do with how Donna: the mistress of the Garden, has managed to keep it alive for 24 years, where it lies hidden in a small community in Jackson, Wisconsin. She started small, in her family home that was once a station for the old stagecoach line that ran from Chicago to the North. In the years since, it grew to four rooms holding everything from Oriental, to pagan, to Native American, and all things inbetween. Crystals, wands, books, jewlery and other items can be found there. She is also a Reiki master, if you need help. That, and she is a sweet wonder. Even if all you do is spend the time to talk with her.
