Feis Domani is a national gathering for the Domain and Realms, a micronation founded and dedicated to the belief in magick, the rights of individual belief, and the healing and defense of the world we live in. Among our many programs, the Feis(pronounced "fesh") has been an institution to bring our population together in fellowship and community, as well as giving others in the magickal, spiritual, and metaphysical communities a chance to see what we're all about. As such, it takes place in a different Realm of the Domain every year: in the Realm's royal court(capital city), to give everyone a chance to attend, if possible. This is an open invitation to all: both Domani citizens and others in the magickal community.

The Feis lasts for three days, being set on the weekend of the Autumnal Equinox. During the Feis, there are events and activities that occur, depending on the venue. What follows is a tentative list of what's to go on this year:

Friday: Arrival and Fellowship - Arrival at the hotel, followed by a dinner or short get together later that evening to socialize. As tradition, gifts are encouraged to be brought for the ruler of the hosting realm, as a show of appreciation and thanks for the welcome and hospitality given. The gifts donnae' need to be elaborate or expensive. They can be anything,... within reason

Saturday: the Feis Domani - There is planned a short tour of a few of the enchanted and sacred forests within the area, followed by the main gathering in Upper Lake Park, in Port Washington. At the main gathering, there will be feasting, announcements, a Knighting and re-Knighting ceremony, and a short awards ceremony for those in attendance who won the Domain's own Balefire Awards. Guests are encouraged to participate in however they're led to. So if you're led to sing, share a story, dance, recite poetry, etc.,... feel free to do so. And,... perhaps,... we'll have that mock tourney that we've always tried to have. Afterwards, the Nobility will have a meeting in the midst of all the guests to decide when, where, and how the next Feis will occur.

Sunday: the Scattering - in Celtic tradition, a festival is always closed with "the Scattering", where all come together one last time to share stories and memories, and fellowship one last time before "scattering to the four winds", in the hopes of meeting again one day soon.

For those coming into the Port Washington area from long distance, the Super 8 in Saukville is the most affordable choice for lodging. I'll wait till two months beforehand to reserve rooms for the Feis, just to get a gauge on who's going to be attending. Directions to and from the Aurora area, as well as directions to and from Lady Xanthi's royal home from the hotel, will come within the month.

RSVP me between now and August 21, 2009 whether or not you'll be able to attend, so I can keep a track of who is and who isn't going to attend. If any of you happen to be in the area and want to see what's going on, let me know. For more information about the Domain and the Feis, visit our online site at http://www.thedomainandrealms.com/FeisDomani. We'd love to see you there.

Till then, as is said among us, we wish you Good Dreaming and Blessed Be.
