The Domani National Anthem

Here is displayed the national anthem for our micronation.

The question of the National Anthem for the Domain came up on the way to the first Foundation Day(Winter Solstice 2001). There were many songs out there that I thought would fit our nation and what it stands for. But deciding between all the songs out there. After awhile, it came down to two songs: "Drops Of Jupiter" by Train, and "My Sacrifice" by Creed. "My Sacrifice" was decided on temporarily, till a point in time when I began to decide that maybe "Drops Of Jupiter" would be better. That's when the High Queen said to leave it with "My Sacrifice". It was only later on that I saw what she was getting at. At least a little. The rest came from my own view.

Despite our differences in beliefs, faiths, religions, and lives, we Domani have managed - in the short time our nation has been in existence - to find a common ground to stand on as one. That may not seem like much, but it's a big step considering all the separations between people these days: whether by race, macronationality, religion, etc. We can act like ourselves around each other, like old friends who've just met. In the Domain, we're free to be who we are - beliefs and all - without having to worry about what 'mainstream' says. For in the Domain, everyone is the mainstream. And we can feel that we are able to simply believe around each other, like it should be. It's a relief that can bring a person to tears. We've each had our ups and downs. Our joys and sorrows. Our easy and hard times. And we've all have had to make our own personal sacrifices to get to where we are as individuals. That, as we all know, is how life is. But instead of separating us, it brings us together.

And that, basically, is why "My Sacrifice" was chosen as the anthem for the Domain. To put it short, it fits.
