Domani National Battle Anthem

Here is displayed the national battle anthem for our micronation.

The choice of the National Battle Anthem for the Domain came up in discussion of a vote earlier this year. To have a battle anthem would require a valid reason. The subject would suggest that reason having a dark edge. Sometimes, that is true.

For our kind - magick and mystick folk - The memories of the Burning Times and the Spanish Inquisition echoes to us from the past. The harsh reality of it all is that our kind were tortured, enslaved, persecuted, raped, murdered, and driven from our homes into the night. Up till now, our kind have lived relatively hidden from society because of this. A society that paints those that believe in and practice magick as evil and destructive.

We are anything but.

In the 21st Century, magick-kind remember the horror of those times that our ancestors suffered, and have taken up the call and cry of "Never Again". The Domain and Realms, as a nation of magick-kind, takes up this call. The battle anthem is our version of it.

When you read the lyrics of the song, you'll find that they fit quite well with the cry of magick-kind of today. The world is smaller, so to speak, than what it was before. There are less places to run and hide from persecution. The sentiment today, however, is that none of us will run and hide again. We can not afford to be that weak and innocent again, and we refuse to be so. Instead, the sentiment is to stand for ourselves and for those who will follow after, against those that would persecute us as they did our forebearers. It's either that, or we face the same fate as those who went before. That is something we can never again afford.

Because of this, "Invincible" was the obvious choice for the Domani Battle Anthem. The people of the Domain voted it so. May it stand as a battle anthem for not just the Domani, but for all magickfolk. So long as we stand, we are invincible.
