Welcome to the

Imperial District of Fantasia

Once located in - and doing double duty as Royal District for - the Realm of Snowdonia in the first years of the Domain (occupying the counties of Baraga, Houghton, Keewenaw, and a section of Marquette), it became the Royal District for the Realm of Sil Magra after the Troubles of 2004, before being permanently set in Ireland: occupying the Irish Counties of Dublin, Meath, and Louth, in 2005. It is from Fantasia and the permanent High Court of Caer RivenMyst that ur-Lord ShadowDarkFyre sets the seat of guardianship and rule of the Domain.

With the permanent setting of the High Court and Imperial District, the Imperial Rule has become much like the Irish High Kings of old, in that they often travelled the kingdoms, returning to the capital periodically. It is in this way that the ur-Lord conducts his rule: residing with his family in the Realm of the Dells. Since the first visit to the High Court in December of 2005, Lord Shadow returned ten years later in 2015. More frequent visits to Caer RivenMyst and the Temple Bar Stronghold are planned in the future.

Places of Interest, Power, and Enchantment

Dublin Castle

Set at the confluence of the Rivers Liffey and Poddle, there has always been a fortification of some sort set at the Black Pool that gives the city and castle their name. (Dubh Linn - Black Pool - Dublin) The circular Castle Gardens, with its Celtic knotwork design set into the lawn, sets above the Black Pool itself,... or at least where it once sat. The Poddle continues to run under the streets of Dublin and under the castle, before emptying into the Liffey.

Dublin Castle is part of the Temple Bar Stronghold: the Imperial Traditional Residence and seat of power of the Domani Imperium. Also, as the birthplace of the city, and the continued confluence under its grounds: namely the Dublin Castle Gardens, it continues to be a place of great power.

Teamhair na Rí - The Hill of Tara

The Hill of Tara (Irish: Teamhair or Cnoc na Teamhrach) is a hill and ancient ceremonial and burial site near Skryne in  County Meath, Ireland. According to tradition and legend, it was one of the places that the Tuatha De Dannan alighted upon the Isle, as well as the inauguration place and seat of the  High Kings of Ireland, and it also appears in Irish mythology.

Tara consists of numerous monuments and earthworks—from the Neolithic to the Iron Age—including a passage tomb (the "Mound of the Hostages"), burial mounds, round enclosures, a standing stone (believed to be the Lia Fáil or "Stone of Destiny"), and a ceremonial avenue. There is also a church and graveyard on the hill.

The Hill lies within the center of Fantasia, and was visited by the ur-Lord on the fifth birthday of the Domain, when Fantasia was founded. it is as much a place of sacredness and power to many Domani as it is to Ireland and the magickal community.

Newgrange

Newgrange (Irish: Sí an Bhrú or Brú na Bóinne) is a  prehistoric monument in County Meath, Ireland, located 8 kilometres west of Drogheda on the north side of the River Boyne. It is an exceptionally grand passage tomb built during the  Neolithic period, around 3200 BC, making it older than Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids.

The site consists of a large circular mound with an inner stone passageway and chambers. Human bones and possible grave goods or votive offerings were found in these chambers. The mound has a retaining wall at the front, made mostly of white quartz cobblestones, and it is ringed by engraved kerbstones. Many of the larger stones of Newgrange are covered in megalithic art. The mound is also ringed by a stone circle. Some of the material that makes up the monument came from as far away as the Mournes and Wicklow Mountains. There is no agreement about what the site was used for, but it is believed that it had religious significance. Its entrance is aligned with the rising sun on the Winter Solstice, when sunlight shines through a 'roofbox' located above the passage entrance and floods the inner chamber

It is the most famous monument within the Neolithic Brú na Bóinne complex, alongside the similar passage tomb mounds of Knowth and Dowth, and as such is a part of the Brú na Bóinne UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are many smaller archaeological sites such as henges, mounds and standing stones situated in the .75 km between Newgrange and the Boyne. Newgrange consists of approximately 200,000 tonnes of rock and other materials. It is 85 metres (279 ft) wide at its widest point.

After its initial use, Newgrange was sealed for several millennia. It continued to feature in Irish mythology and folklore, in which it is said to be a dwelling of the deities, particularly the Dagda and his son Aengus.
