The Domain and Realms National Site
Welcome to the Realm of
Ithil'Nole Loomi'Dae
The Land of Moonlit Lore, or the Lands of Lore under the Moon. That is what the name of the twenty-third Realm of the Domain means, as it was named by its First Ruler. It is a name that is well-earned, for under the vastness of its skies have histories and legends been written on paper, in spirit, and in the land that has affected not only the region it sits in, but the continent itself. And the stories continue to be neverending.
The Realm's First Ruler (and the Domain's second (Imperial Seer): Queen Dame Icinia Wolfcaller ni DarkFyre, was the one to set things in order, before she moved on shortly after to found the next Realm. Leaving Ithil'Nole Loomi'Dae to wait for its next Ruler.
Formerly known as Eastern Divisia: the Realm - also known colloquially as the Ithil'Nole - is the twin Realm of Western Divisia. It is also the one Realm with the most provinces: whose names seem to be references to people and locations within the "Black Jewels" fictional universe of novels by author Anne Bishop. The mountains of the Great Divide dominate life in the Itlil'Nole, with its wide open space, huge skies, and stories to be found in each vale.

Devils Tower
Devils Tower
Devils Tower (also known as Bear Lodge Butte) is a butte, possibly laccolithic, composed of igneous rock in the Bear Lodge Ranger District of the Black Hills, near Hulett and Sundance in Crook County, northeastern Wyoming, above the Belle Fourche River. It rises 1,267 feet above the Belle Fourche River, standing 867 feet from summit to base. The summit is 5,112 feet above sea level.
The name Devil's Tower originated in 1875 during an expedition led by Colonel Richard Irving Dodge, when his interpreter reportedly misinterpreted a native name to mean "Bad God's Tower".[10] All information signs in that area use the name "Devils Tower", following a geographic naming standard whereby the apostrophe is omitted.
Native American names for the monolith include "Bear's House" or "Bear's Lodge" (or "Bear's Tipi", "Home of the Bear", "Bear's Lair"); Cheyenne, Lakota: Matȟó ThÃpila, Crow: Daxpitcheeaasáao ("Home of Bears"[12]), "Aloft on a Rock" (Kiowa), "Tree Rock", "Great Gray Horn",[10] and "Brown Buffalo Horn" (Lakota: Ptehé ǦÃ).The Temagami Magnetic Anomaly is egg-shaped, 36 mi long and 12 mi wide. The central section has the greatest amplitude and an east-west strike.
According to the Native American tribes of the Kiowa and Lakota, a group of girls went out to play and were spotted by several giant bears, who began to chase them. In an effort to escape the bears, the girls climbed atop a rock, fell to their knees, and prayed to the Great Spirit to save them. Hearing their prayers, the Great Spirit made the rock rise from the ground towards the heavens so that the bears could not reach the girls. The bears, in an effort to climb the rock, left deep claw marks in the sides, which had become too steep to climb. Those are the marks which appear today on the sides of Devils Tower. When the girls reached the sky, they were turned into the stars of the Pleiades.

Many other stories lie within and about the Tower: the Great Bear chasing the Pleaides, the Great Bear chasing the boys atop the tower before giving up and going to his rest at Bear Butte, among them. Lately, one story - more an assumption and theory more than anything - has grown in modern day amongst a growing number of people around the world: and striking heated debates between scientists, spiritualists, magickfolk, speculators, conspiracy theorists, and antediluvian researchers. The story in question is that the Tower - and a number of similar monoliths and mountains around the world - were once Great Trees of old: in times when "giants walked the earth".
Dibé Nitsaa
Dibé Nitsaa
Known commonly as Hesperus Mountain, it is the highest summit of the La Plata Mountains range of the Rocky Mountains of North America. The prominent 13,237-foot thirteener is located in San Juan National Forest, 13.2 miles Northeast by East of the Town of Mancos in Montezuma County, Colorado, United States. The summit of Hesperus Mountain is the highest point in Montezuma County.
The San Juan Mountains have been the traditional homeland of the Ute People. Along with Ute the La Plata Mountain Range has also been the early homeland of the Navajo People who had settled on and near this mountain and the La Plata Mountain Range.
Dibé Nitsaa is the Navajo People's Sacred Mountain of the North , which marks the Northern boundary of the Dinétah: their traditional homeland. It is associated with the color black, and is said to be impregnated with jet. When First Man created the mountain as a replica of mountains in the Fourth World, he fastened it to the ground with a rainbow and covered it in darkness.

As if to give credence to the Diné's stories of origin and settling on and near Dibé Nitsaa, nearby to the South rests the Great Bird that brought them from the Otherworlds to the Dinétah: Tse Bit'a'i, known as Shiprock
Granite Peak
Granite Peak
Granite Peak, at an elevation of 12,807 feet above sea level, is the highest natural point in the U.S. state of Montana, and the tenth-highest state high point in the nation. It lies within the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness in Park County, very near the borders of Stillwater County and Carbon County. Granite Peak is 10 miles North of the Wyoming border and 45 miles Southwest of Columbus, Montana.
Granite Peak is often considered the second most difficult state high point to climb after Denali in Alaska, due to technical climbing, poor weather, and route finding.[4][5] Granite Peak's first ascent was made by Elers Koch, James C. Whitham, and R.T. Ferguson on August 29, 1923, after several failed attempts by others. It was the last of the state high points to be climbed.[5] Today, climbers typically spend two or three days ascending the peak, stopping over on the Froze-to-Death Plateau, although some climbers choose to ascend the peak in a single day.
