Welcome to the Realm of

the Dreamtime

The ninth Realm, and largest of the Twenty-Seven Realms by area, the Dreamtime is just as dominated by land as it is by the oceans it sits within. Stretching from the Dreamtime mainland, half of the Realm is made up of half of the archipelagos of the Ocean of Peace. Founded and began begun by its First Rulers: Master Rai and Mistress Fiz DarqueAngel, it was the Dreamtime's next ruler: Landgrave Sir Nuni Mato Darkheart the Chaos Keeper ap Matauranga-Whakahau-Mi'riaghailt that finished much of the necessary work.

The current ruler: Lady Dame Nightshade ni DarkFyre, guards the Realm now.

Comprised of six Provinces - two of them mainland Provinces - the Dreamtime is vast both by land and water: representing the mountains, plains, coastal areas, and the deeps surrounding the Realm.

With the Ring of Fire on one side, and the enigmatic Ocean of Mu (Indian Ocean) on the other, there are stories, secrets, and realmsmunto themselves within the Dreamtime. None of them more otherworldly than the stories and power of the Realm's namesake: centered within the very heart of the Realm's mainland.

Places of Interest, Power, and Enchantment

Uluru

Alternately knwn as Ayers Rock during the majority of Australia's national history, the monolith has been known as Uluru by the aborigines of the continent since prehistory. Its name having no meaning beyond being a proper noun in the language of the Pitjantjatjaraa Aborigines, Uluru remains a known legend around the world.

The sandstone monolith stand 1,142 feet in height, and is, in a way, a "sandstone iceberg" being itself part of a larger underground mass, and is help sacred by the Pitjantjatjara people: who have occupied and kept Uluru for thousands of years, admonishing visitors from around the world to respect. Admonishments that are not always listened to.

Uluru lies in the center of the creation stories and spirituality of the Aboriginal Dreamtime: when the gods and creation spirits in the primordial past made the lands that would become Australia. According to geological studies, Uluru, nearby Kata Tjuta, and perhaps even Mount Conner, are part of alarger mass that extends between 2 and 7 kilometers under the surface. According to the Aboriginal accounts Uluru lies hollow underground, holding within it the beginning point and energy of the primordial Dreamtime itself.

Kata Tjuta

Known also as the Olgas and Mount Olga, Kata Tjuta lies within sight of Uluru to the East, and in a line with Uluru and farther off Artila (Mount Conner). Over a thousand feet at its highest point, Kata Tjuta is said to hold as much power and age as Uluru: holding its own stories and legends of the Dreamtime.

The stories of Kata Tjuta center around the rainbow serpent and king of serpents, Wanambi, who lives upin the highest point of the mountain itself. A primordial elemental creation deity, Wanambi is said to only come down during the dry season. His breath can cause hurricanes, and he punishes those who do evil.

Beyond that, the stories, lore, and legends of Kata Tjuta are kept secret by the Anangu people.

Tāne Mahuta

The known king of the coniferous Kauri trees along the Western rim of the Ring of Fire, Tāne Mahuta - meaning "God of the Forest" or "Lord of the Forest" - stands on the North Island of New Zealand, in the Waipoua Forest: where he lives with other giant Kauri, notably Te Matua Ngahere (Father of the Forest) and the Four Sisters.

Named for the Maori god of the forests and birds, Tāne Mahuta stand at 148 feet high with an over 50-foot girth. Discovered in 1924, he was partnered in 2009 with the Cryptomeria lord, Jōmon Sugi: who stands on Yakushima Island in Japan.

Tāne Mahuta and the other giant Kauri are under constant threat from Kauri dieback: a fungal disease that is generally fatal to the giant trees. Work is underway to protect the Kauri lord from this disease.
